Fishing Guide - Tassila Gerhart-Brown

I started fishing at the age of 4, fishing some of the best lakes in BC with my Grandfather, catching large Lake Trout on Quesnel Lake, and beautiful Rainbow Trout in the Horsefly-Likely area.

We moved to Vancouver Island when I was 7. My Grandfather brought over his lake boat - "the green frog". We continued to fish with my Dad, catching Salmon and Cod, lots of Cod! When I was in high school I landed a job saltwater guiding, I continued to saltwater guide between college courses, guiding for April Point and Painters Lodge in Campbell River, BC.

Then I met Geoff... picked up fly fishing with the infamous Gerhart's (Bruce included), fished the Heber, Thompson, Buckley, Elk, and so on. Geoff and I moved permanently to Whistler in 96 and started Trout Country Fishing Guides in 1997. I enjoy teaching people how to fly fish and am very happy that I have been able to make this my livelihood!
